I’m Benjamin, a professional gaffer and spark for film, TV, commercials and music videos, with over 10 years of on-set experience across the UK and internationally. I’ve worked on feature films, high-end commercials and music videos, delivering reliable, cinematic lighting that supports the director’s vision while keeping productions efficient, safe and on schedule.

Based in the North West, I regularly work across Manchester, Liverpool, York and London, with previous projects taking me throughout Scotland, Essex and overseas. I’m comfortable joining crews at any scale — from small commercial units to full feature film productions.

My approach is practical and calm under pressure, built on strong technical knowledge of lighting, power distribution and rigging. I’m known on set for clear communication, problem-solving and keeping things moving when it matters. Off set, I’m unapologetically a bit of a geek, into Dungeons & Dragons, world-building and story writing.

Whether it’s complex rigs for narrative work, shaping mood for commercials, or dynamic looks for music videos, I focus on lighting that works creatively and holds up on a real shoot day.
